My name is Dave Riches. I'm an 18-year-old high school senior at Cherry Hill East High School. I live in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with my mom, sister, dog, and sometimes my brother comes home from college. I have an extreme obsession with the Flyers, hockey, The Rolling Stones, and Keith Richards. I'm a guitar player and aspiring rockstar. Just like everyone else in the world, I have my strengths and I have my flaws. Feel free to message me. I'm a nice kid and I welcome strangers. Welcome to my blog :) |
I would like to point out several flaws with this:
There is no Bobby Keys (saxophone). Very instrumental in their success.
This doesn’t list Mick Jagger for harmonica. He’s a brilliant harp player.
Brian Jones should have his own color: lead guitar plus every weird instrument the Stones used until ‘69 (sitar, marimba, etc).
The Keyboards role is very inaccurate. First off, this doesn’t give Stu enough credit as the sixth stone (the record companies only promoted the Stones as a five-man band because they felt six was too many) and Stu was also their manager for a couple years. Stu was the main pianist until the ’80s, but the Stones used a lot of other pianists in their time. Nicky Hopkins deserves credit on here, because he was the main pianist on Exile on Main St., which had beautiful piano arrangements. Loving Cup, ‘nuff said.
Also, Keith Richards isn’t listed for vocals…he sang backup vocals since the beginning and shared lead soon after. Every album from Let It Bleed onwards features at least one song where he does lead vocals. And his voice, oh my God it’s beautiful.
